The POD Concept

At Zetique, we believe our strongest teams are built through collaboration, trust, and shared responsibility.

You will be part of a POD, a small, self-managed team responsible for supporting a group of clients. Your POD works together as one unit, sharing knowledge, solving problems, supporting each other, and ensuring clients receive a consistent and exceptional experience.

The goal is not simply to complete tasks. The goal is to understand the businesses we support and work together to provide value beyond traditional bookkeeping.

Each POD becomes a mini financial support team for our clients.

Role Highlights

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Lead client files
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records
  • Build relationships with clients and understand their businesses

  • Support business owners with questions and financial guidance
  • Collaborate with your POD to deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Contribute to improving systems, processes, and the future direction of Zetique

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including transaction review, categorization, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Review financial information to identify inconsistencies, trends, and opportunities for discussion with clients.
  • Process payroll through QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Prepare payroll-related filings, including ROEs and T4s.
  • Access CRA Represent a Client accounts for payroll, GST/HST, and corporate tax information.
  • Communicate with CRA when required.
  • File GST/HST returns, payroll remittances, and related compliance requirements.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve questions.
  • Help clients understand their financial information.
  • Identify opportunities where Zetique can provide additional value.
  • Build trust through proactive communication and reliable support.

 

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to troubleshoot
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment
  • Interest in learning financial analysis and advisory skills
  • Desire to mentor and collaborate with team members
  • Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and help redefine the role of bookkeeping in the small business world.

Probation period

Zetique has a structured onboarding and development process, including a six-month probation period for new team members.

During this time, we evaluate:

  • Ownership and accountability
  • Contribution to the growth of the team and company
  • Regular feedback and conversations will take place to support your growth and ensure alignment with Zetique’s vision.

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must have a reliable home office setup, secure internet connection, be legally authorized to work in Canada and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
